What is a second chance reading engine ?
Most of ANPR/LPR engines provides confidence levels for each tips
besides the reading of the plates.
Sometimes some characters have a bad confidence rate.
In that case how to be sure of the reading ?
The best solution is to run a second chance engine and to compare.
If the readings are the same, you can trust the result.
Furthermore most ANPR/LPR engines provide the characters positions. You must know that the LPReditor
engine has a dedicated function to read
a single character in the image source if its position is provided.
Consider now using the LPReditor reading engine level 1 as your second chance engine and strengthen your application without risk.
