Internationalization improvement program.
What is it ?
These are a set of performance which aim at improving the
accuracy of our ANPR engine for any application wherever it is located.
What are the steps of the internationalization improvement program ?
Step 1 : Get the latest version of the engine
Make sure you have upgraded to the latest (2009) version of the LPReditor (level 1) engine.
Step 2 : Install sample code.
Compile, link and test the c++ samples code available on our web site when downloading the demo.
Step 3 : Send the image collection.
Make sure that the image filenames must contain the exact registration.
Step 4 : Get the syntax checker.
You will receive the syntax checker with its API guide and sample code. Add the new rules for your country. Compile, link and test the c++ samples.
Step 5 : Get the new OCR files.
After 4 weeks (approx.), we will send to you new OCR files for your application. Just paste them in the LPReditor folder.
FAQ
How to be qualified to the internationalization improvement program ?
You have to provide us a collection of at least 200 image files representative of your application (ie plates from your country and ideally taken on your application site). The image filenames must contain the exact registration (after a ‘_’ and at the end of the filename). For instance 0000000001_3065WWA34.JPG. The file format must be jpeg.
Why is it necessary to provide image files?
We will train our engine to recognize this kind of images better.
The retraining software will use your collection to remove the ocr files (neural nets and clusters) that are not benefit for the recognition and will create new ones.
What is the accuracy increase after the adding of the new rules of the syntax checker?
This kind of retraining usually leads to a better recognition rate (roughly 7%).
What is the accuracy increase after the retraining?
This kind of retraining usually leads to a better recognition rate (roughly 10%).
When will be sent the new ocr files ?
Within 4 weeks. It depends on our working load.
Is it free ?
Yes.
